Lebanon is the second country that has accepted more Syrian refugees, being these 25% of their total population. Since Lebanon did not sign the 1951 Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees, Syrian refugees in Lebanon are in a permanent uncertain situation without the possibility of obtaining the Lebanese nationality.
Lebanon does not promote the formation of formal refugee camps. Consequently, all along the country 4312 infromal refugee settlements have been generated. Terbol Informal settlement is an example.
